I used the "six to a page" type when I moved.
Every sticker has your name, your new address, and your new phone number and/or your cell phone number.
Every sticker also has space for a box number.
Every box gets three stickers - one on top, one on the long side, and one the short side.
Keep a notebook - in that notebook, write down the box number, and then everything that goes in that box.
Also, include another sticker that goes on top of the box that tells where the box goes: i.e., "kitchen", "bathroom", "living room". That will help the movers - they can then easily and immediately move everything into the room it needs to be in. When I moved, I could only do "kitchen" and "bathroom" since I was going to re-arrange everything, but do whatever you can. It really, really helped having all the kitchen boxes labeled.
It's a bit more time consuming, but I'll tell ya, it saved me a SHITLOAD of hassle and time later on when I needed to either find something before I moved that had been boxed up, or after I got in the new place and wanted to start unloading specific, immediately needed things.
And yeah, moving is a total pain in the ass.
I bet I threw away a hundred pounds of shit I realized I didn't need as I was packing, and gave away another hundred pounds. And then, when I was unpacking, I ended up throwing away some more shit.
So, best of luck to you - the process of moving sucks.
