nose infections are nasty. Some years ago had my nose operated because of my nasal septums. One week breathing only through my mouth because the nose was stuffed and till I finally found enough courage to blow my nose somewhat stronger ... boy, I tell you. Not to mention the pain after the OP

I've been thinking of starting the very same thread. Now I think I'll start one on what people collect.
Anyway, my hobbies are:
Gardening - SERIOUS gardening, really. Rare & unusual (or weird and kinky) being a major interest. I have the licenses to import from other countries. With 6.5 acres at my disposal, I have plenty of room to indulge, and since I propagate I donate truckloads to many of the local plant societies and public gardens for their fund raisers.
Tropical fish - But I mainly do it for the plants. I have a 75 gallon tank that's a freaking jungle; I can barely see the (very happy) fish.
Cooking - I love to take ethnic cooking classes and when I travel, food is an important part of the whole experience.
Volunteer work - Most of it related to botanical gardens and the restoration of important architectural homes in my area.
Bird feeding - the local Audubon Society does yearly bird counts at my place since I have so many feeders going it's a legitimate sanctuary.
Travel - it's what I live for. Anywhere in the world.
Pets - Cats, dogs, fish....and, of course, the wild birds I feed, which I think of as pets.

I don't consider cooking a hobby, because we both like to eat regularly.
