Best software for editing videos?
(I also posted this in the Graphics Group secion)

Audio Video Synch Issue with Spokeswoman's Words

I directed a short video, and the cameraman gave me a .wmv.

When I import that into "Adobe Premiere," edit it to take a 3-second clip, and then export the 3-second clip as a .wmv, the spokeswoman's words' audio-video is slightly out-of-synch.

Has this happened to anyone else with Adobe Premiere?

Is there better software to use for editing/creating wmv's which keep the audio-video of someone talking in synch?

3. After a bit of struggling with it...
...I'm really starting to like using the Windows Movie Maker" which came as part of XP.

You can cut all your segments together, and then isolate the spliced audio tracks and move them back/forward until they sync.

6. Have you tried outputting to Windows Media
from Adobe Premiere Elements?

If so, did you have audio-video synch issues?

7. I've Adobe Premiere for scene cutting/ordering, VirtualDub for cleaning, &
Tmpgenc for noise removal and MPEG2 encoding. :9

I'd check out the latest WMV codec, which might resolve the sync problem. But it's not premiere.

I too have problems with Pinnacle's codec, and Microsoft's are nothing but a headache incarnate.
