Right click on the folder and choose "Properties". Click on the "Sharing" tab and Check the box that says "Make this folder private". You should be asked to assign a password.

That should have worked but maybe because it was your My Documents folder it did it for the whole account.
There's software you can buy if you google for it.
I'm much more help when it comes to Linux these days.
