Ohhhhhhhhhhh, my love, my darling, |
|
I've hungered for your touch a long, lonely time.
And time goes by so slowly and time can do so much. Are you still mine?
I need your love, I need your love, God speed your love to me.
Lonely rivers flow to the sea, to the sea To the open arms of the sea
Lonely rivers sigh, 'Wait for me, wait for me' 'I'll be coming home, wait for me!'
Oh, my love, my darling, I hunger, hunger!, for your love, A long, lonely time.
And time goes by, so slowly, and time can do so much, Are you still mine?
I need your love, I need your love. God speed your love to me.

9. mm, I have no idea where one would find a link to that song as rendered |
|
by Bono... I heard it live, I believe.
I do hope he's recorded it on some record for posterity.

5. When I was a kid, I thought the Righteous Brothers were black |
|
For the longest time I thought this. Righteous "Brothers"? Great singers? Come on.

7. Rumor has it that the name was actually a result of them performing |
|
at a "black" club and one of the patrons told them afterwards "That was righteous brother!" (as in a RIGHTEOUS performance to use the vernacular of the time) and the name stuck. . . or so my mom tells me :).
Considering that their names were Hatfield and Medley, I hardly think they used the family name as their performing name :).
