Another favorite of mine, the Cheevers (don't know how to post the pic) Gerry was a rotten commentator, but a great goalie. Our Whalers had him and Andre LaCoix, Andre was pretty funny.

plaster cast masks cost around $300 and were pretty much only available to professionals. Helmets with wire cages were more like $70 and much more comfortable when you got hit in the face. The newer masks that you see guys wear are basically a stylish helmet, and about $300 full circle.
