For the most part, though, I'd probably say something to the effect of, "You represent a part of my life that is mercifully dead and buried. Now get lost."

4. appeared in front of me, as in while I was driving? |
|
if they really appeared like that, I would assume it is a flashback hallucination and run it over.

5. "Get off my keyboard!" |
|
And then probably something on the order of "My life isn't as pathetic as it looks. No, really."
But yeah, I'd prefer to think that the past is past, and there's no point in bringing it back.

6. If it was my Dad, who died when I was 16. . . . |
|
Edited on Sun Oct-12-03 08:33 PM by Divernan
First I'd tell him I loved him, because parents and kids didn't say that to each other back in the fifties. Second, I'd thank him for being a terrific Dad. Third, I'd tell him about his wonderful grandchildren whom he never got to meet.

14. I wish that could really happen for you.. |

Sad you lost your dad so young.
I was just talking about my dad today with a friend and surprised myself that I starting to cry a bit. It's been 5 years since he died but the void they leave never seems to fill up all the way.

9. You never cared about me, you self-centered bitch! |
|
well, perhaps that's a little harsh.
I might say, "the first time our relationship got to a point that it would have taken a little effort to make it work, you were gone. Who used who?"

10. AWCK I just saw someone last week that I hadn't seen in 2 years... |
|
that just really did wrong by me.
It was AWFUL seeing her. She (claims to have) married a really wealthy fella, and would have parties and social events, and not invite me... but was real happy to have me over to redo her landscaping on the million dollar house on the Venice Canals. But I wasn't good enough to be around her new business associates or new friends. But she was real happy to borrow my truck.... and she was real happy to let me handle the rental of her condo in Pasadena, since I had advised her not to sell her assets as she was moving in with Lon. She was also real happy to let me dress her and design her gown for the acadamy awards... but not invite me to the company's party afterwards.
So I busted her on it, and she didn't reply to me for a year.
Then she called me out of the blue to tell me she had married this Lon Bender at the Argyle Hotel, (the month before) and I wasn't invited to that either. But gee, she'd love to see us.... (She'd been with me when my daughter was born, and my daughter still asks about her. We were very close friends for almost 15 years.)
I was most pleasant, cordial and polite, and she never called us after to get together, as she had suggested. She had called to gloat.
Revenge fantasies? I gotta million of em. I was willing to pay a friend $200 to go up to her fella and make up a HUGE story in front of her... ah well.
They say the best revenge is living well. That, I can manage easily. Can't waste my time.

grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and tell her that, after all the times I didn't have the courage to go on, I did. Then, I would show her my M.A., and my pending Ph.D. work. I have always been sorry that she died before all the good stuff happened in my life (1990).

17. I did that to an ex girlfriend of mine... |
|
I'll try to condense this down..I moved here to Washington about 15 years ago with my then-girlfriend.. after about 5 years, we split up and she moved back to Connecticut. About 2 years after that, I went back for a visit.. I was at one of the big casinos there, and a friend told me my ex was working there.. so, I stopped by to see her... it took her a few seconds to realize who I was, and the look on her face was priceless...
