Edit: Duh, you knew this before of course. But just memorize the hell out of them. I find that I now somehow just 'get' german without really knowing how. Expose yourself as much as you can to the language, and cross your fingers.

Haha! I forget what you call the non-dative prepositions, but Sister Marie Genevieve made sure I permanently memorized them (some 35 years ago)!
