Funny how puking = instant migraine relief. |
|
I was all set for a miserable evening nursing a headache, and then I puked once and it was like instantly gone.
I seriously don't want to gross anyone out; I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen. It's happened like four times in my life.

4. Yeah, that's the way migraines work |
|
First the hallucinations, then the headache, then the barfing, then you sleep it off.
I'm so grateful I take Norvasc now and don't have to face migraines anymore.

5. used to work for me quite often... |

I feel for you, I really do. Migraines are miserable.
I don't get them anymore, due to blood pressure medication. Not that I'd wish elevated BP on anyone to cure a migraine, but it was a great side effect for me.
Take care. :hi:

6. Yes. I will puke on purpose if I know I am getting one of those headaches |
|
Has to do with electrolyte imbalances, I think.

7. For me it was sometimes temporary relief |
|
I would feel awful, then yack, then I could sleep some until I got to feeling awful again.
Sometimes the medicine works where I don't get pukey, or only puke once. It all depends.

|
but I have also reached the point of uncontrollable vomiting- thats when its time for the ER.

Even then, for the rest of the day I feel pretty rocky. The day after, though, I feel A-OK.

in disguise (tummyache causes headache). Maybe that's true in your case. I know it's true in mine.

I have no idea what you are talking about, but I got that you puked and I HATE puking, so I feel sorry for you, except you said it got rid of your headache, so I don't....????
Anyway, glad you are feeling better!!!

When I get them -- lucky me! -- intense nausea and vomitting sequentially are part of the experience, not the end.
They used to last for days.
Imitrex is the only thing that works for me. Before that came out, I used compazine to control the nausea and vomiting.
