From time to time when the dog is asleep, she'll emit sounds that remind me of those made by a sleeping human who's having a bad dream. As such, I'm wondering if anyone has ever determined whether dogs have dreams, too?

They dream of chasing rabbits and such. I'm sorry that I have no actual studies to point to.

mine used to run full gallop while laying on his side. He'd woof and sometimes scrunch up his face. I could tell when he was confronting a cat in his dreams..the scrunched up face was a sure sign! It's the same look he'd get when he thought our cats were going to smack him.

Most of the kittys I've had in my life have had a kitty nightmare of 2 while asleep; it's something to see..
