Seeking Magzine subscript ideas for empowered/creative teen girl.
Edited on Fri Mar-11-05 01:38 AM by alphafemale
Are there any?

She's turning 13.

I'm seeking something with positive message...not that message screamed by all those other teen mags:

"If you're not 98 pounds and able to buy THIS BRAND of $50 eye-shadow, AND THESE! $250 pants... No one will ever love you!"

On Edit.

Birthday gift for family friend.

2. How about a subscription to Cicada?
it's a short story magazine for teens from the publishers of "Cricket".

3. That's a nice one. I got my hands on at least a few of those growin'up
I devoured them. But I was one of those freaky bookish kids. :D

This kid? Not sure it would be a match.

Are there any Zines directly countering the "Vogue Girl" mindset?

Real life advice mingled with fiction.

That's what I was really hoping for.

5. I really can't think of any offhand
but you might check out the Barnes and Noble young adult magazine section to see what's out there.
