So, how's your hate for bush going?
In the "let's get a little perspective" department, did you know that bush and ALL repukes in charge really don't give a shit about you, or you, or you, or you? (Yes, I'm talking to you. And stop hiding over there JimmyJazz, he doesn't give a shit about you, either.)

He doesn't give a shit about troops who have died in a Iraq and he can't POSSIBLY give less than a shit about Iraqis who have died. Hell, they aren't even real people to him.

Are you a Democrat? He'd probably rather you keel over right now.

Job situation pretty bad? Can't pay your bills because you can't find a job? Go to community college! Oh you say you already have a degree or two? Well, find your bootstraps, whatever the hell those are and start pulling and see if the Majikal Job Fairy pops out of your ass to grant you a job, because bush et al don't work for YOU or your sorry ass, they work for corporations, got it? Big business is their master, you aren't even a blip on the radar.

So how are your feelings about the bush junta going right about now?

4. I hit rolling boil about two years ago.
Problem is, what's after that? Evaporation?

(P.S. I just got done looking at Austin houses for sale on the internet. TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!)

I want this one, it reminds me of my great-grandparents' old house in Austin, but check out the price. At least it's three bedrooms, though.

I'm in a day-dreamy mood today....

3. It's becoming critical
there is the cognitive dissonance of having almost a blinding rage when ever I see this man speak, and yet, whenever I talk to non-DUers (dems and repubs alike) they don't think the situation is that critical....they aren't outraged, they rationalize this idiots proposals by SERIOUSLY debating them....it's absolutely maddening!!!!!

Besides, what are the chances they'd let you within 5000 feet of him, anyway?

Yes, I'm poor now, but I have my sanity.

My advice; Find some progressive cause that can pay you enough to keep you eating most days, and quit your job to do it.

15. Yep, I have been sort of re-shifting my life focus in the last
few months.

If I have to live in this burb for the next several years (before we "escape" to Austin, where one can be oneself a lot more than here), then at least we can be happier.

So we joined a UU church (religiously very liberal---we cheered the Supreme Court decision not to execute children last Sunday!) and I have met a lot of very progressive people there who live right around me (I just didn't know they were there!). The great part is one family at this church has kids who go to my daughter's school. I had no idea they were so liberal. So now we don't feel so alone at her school anymore, either (and I know several other Democrats there, too, including some teachers).

My boss is a GINORMOUS liberal and he and I have some venting bitch sessions pretty often.

HIS whole family is liberal and I have met and gotten to know them (his son and daughter in law are about my age and incredible).

My best friend is liberal and her boyfriend WAS apathetic about social and political issues until she got a hold of him and she could tell he was liberal in his views (he didn't know it, because he never thought about it) and now he's totally on the same page.

So I'm just building us a big ol' liberal network right here.

I don't talk to him much, but I did the other day. He works directly with georgie and has swallowed so much Kool-aid his blood probably taste like grapes.
I was making so much fun of his boss that he made up some excuse to get off the phone because he was getting pissed. I bet he turned me in for being a turist.

18. No hate at all.
Sorry. It's a Buddhist thing. I have no use for hate. If anything, I pity them for their despicable sense of ethics and moral values, their atrocious habit of fabricating things to further their political agenda, their blatant bigotry and racism, their sickening greed, their pathetic arrogance, and their callous apathy of the horrific conditions affecting people in the middle east, in Africa, and in other parts of the world. It's truly pitiful. Their Karma is so bad that we're all suffering daily for it.

I know they don't care about me. But I've long ago lost concern for what other people think of me anyway. All I ask is a level playing field, which scares the shit out of them so badly that they will do anything to prevent it.

25. my logic...
My logic behind this was that as soon as Kerry sewed up the nomination for President, * and all of his surrogates in the media & on Capitol Hill immediately launched an all out smear campaign with one focused message: "Kerry is an unprincipled flip-flopper who can't be trusted with national defense." It was pounded over and over and over again until it sunk into the mainstream. Everything every Republican did was that, or some spinoff of that one idea.

We had been attacking Bush for 4 years, but the perception was that he was a steady & sure leader, etc. The attacks from MoveOn, ACT, Democrats on Capitol Hill, in the media, etc were nowhere near as coordinated as the Republicans. The Republicans were focused like a laser beam on getting that one line to sink in, while the Democrats were practically a circular firing squad there were so many messages. (The DU "Two Faces of Bush" would have been great if we had come up with it in January of 2004 instead of October!!!!)

So, as soon as whoever sews up the Republic nomination in early 2008, I hope we can have prepared LTTEs to write about each potential nominee...

30. For me it's not just Gee Dubya,
it's every single scum sucking Republican official at every level.

I've never voted for any Republican candidate since I registered to vote in 1972 and I never will.

My Dad told me long ago, don't trust them. Republicans have never and will never give a shit about the working class people in the US. They have always been and will continue to be the party of Big Business.

Also to every one of the Democrats in the US Senate that voted for the Bankruptcy Bill yesterday, I say, shame on you!!!

You don't deserve to call yourselves Democrats after your vote yesterday.

Thank God I live in a state where I can proudly say that both my Senators, Durbin and Obama, did the right and honorable thing.
