3. no clear answer
but they're puppies 'til about 6-8 months, when they become adolescent terrors. Most dogs aren't really adults until they're 18-24 months old.

5. None Of These
Different breeds grow up faster than others. My lab is 4+ years old and still has puppy-ness in him. My mom's 10 month old Westie is almost as mature as mine, in terms of calmness. She knows less, and isn't as clever, but is more controlled and calm compared to mine.

Part of the charm of doggies i guess.

6. A domesticated canine is ALWAYS a puppy

A dog may reach "maturity" at 2 years old, but, mentally, since they're reliant on humans they are emotionally dependant. There are cases of dogs taking control of a household, and, in essence, becoming leader of the pack. That's a different thing all together and is not typical of a true "pet" mentality. Those types of dogs are true monsters.

But as far as full body growth is concerned, it's around 2 years.
