1. Thanks for the Psychedelic Furs!
I used to listen to them all the time.
Also, I haven't heard Peter Schilling in years (I used to have it on 45).

3. "Just Got Lucky" is such a great song.....
.....unfortunately, that about up sums up the JoBoxers Career.

4. Wow! Eye To Eye. I haven't thought of them in about 20 years...
...and I had that record at one time.

There are some cringe-inducements there (for me anyway), but they're balanced by some pretty good ones. NightTrain

5. Laura Branigan?!?!? YOU MENTIONED Laura Branigan?!??!
FLAAAAAAAAAAAAME!!!!!

A very good mix not all my cup of tea but a great mix outside of the god awful mainstream stuff back then (not that things have changed that much).

10. Hey, I figured if it was out in the '80s, it was fair game.
Besides, on how many '80s shows will you hear both Herbie Hancock and Dolly Parton? If nothing else, give me credit for eclecticism!

11. "The Goonies 'R' Good Enough" was a Top 10 hit in its day.

20 years later, though, it more than qualifies as a "Forgotten 45."

14. Good Choices and Bad Choices
Sex (I'm a) is a good choice although When We Make Love might have been better.

If you're playing Cyndi Lauper it shoulda been She Bop.

Lots of good picks (especially Psychedelic Furs, Peter Gabriel and Bronski Beat)

But, but, but....

Not Kirsty Mac Coll's "Fairytale of New York"?
Not Julie Brown's "I Like 'em Big and Stupid" or "The Homecoming Queen's Got A Gun"?
No Siouxsie and the Banshees or Bauhaus (In the Flat Field, especially) or the B-52s? Or REM? No 99 Luft Balloons? Or Rock Me Amadeus? No Prince?

I am appalled :)

Khash.
