It's time for some music - what should I listen to?
1. Arvo Part's "Passio"

2. Tomas Luis de Victoria's "Requiem"

3. Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber's "Requiem"

4. Mozart's "Great Mass in C Minor"

5. Mozart's "Vesperae de Dominica" and "Vesperae solenness de confessore" (K321 and K339)

6. Robert Shaw singers singing Gorecki, Part, Martin, Barber, and Schoenberg's "Friede auf Erden"

I'm leaning toward number 6. A friend of mine performed Friede auf Erden at Carnegie Hall a few years ago, and I'm feeling nostalgic. But on the other hand, I'm kinda in a requiem mood. But I'm also thinking that, maybe what I need is what I'm not thinking of, and what I'm not thinking of is Mozart.

2. I'm voting for the Part or the Gorecki
Lovely, lovely stuff.

But there's never a bad time for Mozart.

3. Yeah, me, too
I am a HUGE Part fan, and of course Gorecki is awesome.

I'm going with that one.

Thanks!!

4. I've always had a soft spot for Victoria.
Mozart and Biber aren't bad ... but Victoria ...

It's really cool stuff to sing in a choir, too.

7. And then maybe some Billy Joel, followed with Bon Jovi!
I could do that! But I'd surely die from the orgasm. Best just to stick with two of them.
