4. Official diagnosis:
Moderately severe gastritis. For about an hour, I thought I was having a heart attack, but I figured I was too young for that. I'm feeling much better now.

10. Nope.
The doctor verified the diagnosis after I told her what I'd had to eat in the previous 24 hours: a medium cheese and pepperoni pizza, and a decent sized lasagna for lunch.

11. Why did he leave the hospital?
Could have had cold biscuit, eggs, bacon and orange juice with fungus for breakfast!

B-)

12. Ohh!
Did you get the really cool self-directed medication? That's the best. Especially when it's morphine. Maybe you don't have that yet down in the states. That really is the best.

19. Not going to happen
here, you only get the really good stuff for three days. Then they assess you to see if you need it. But, if you are in real pain, the odds of becoming addicted to these narcotics is pretty slight.

21. Contrary to popular belief
marijuana is not legal here. Except for medicinal purposes. But you have to jump through hoops to get it, and you only can get the stuff they grow, which is crap.

22. Ah yes the Big V....I still have a bunch that I didn't use from my broken
leg....that stuff is evil after a few days. I had a lot of pain in the beginning and my cousins wife an OR nurse said to take 2. I ended up in bed and had a wicked experience where I thought I was drowning. Damn stuff....then screwed up my digestive system along with lack of activity and brought on diverticulitis (very painful) and guess what they gave me for the pain besides Demerol at the hospital...more V.

Right now I am not using any of this stuff but I do have a bottle of 100 to flush soon. Dr said I might need a couple once therapy starts to unlock my ankle.

16. From about 3pm to about an hour or so ago.
Busy ER tonight, plus periods of heavy snow. Not fun.

or did you have to wait in the waiting room?

18. I waited for about 30 seconds.
But since they weren't very busy when I first came in, they saw me right away. It was just the x-rays and blood work that took a bloody long time.
