2. My spam is christian, radio is christian |
|
the entire universe is christian. I do attend church service, I go with my own personal intentions, but just don't shove it toward me. I don't go for all of this public religious advertising.

Refering to "the entire universe is christian."
In my life I know maybe one "Have you accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior" Christian.
Now, I know a lot of Catholics. Various flavours of Presberians and whatnots. Several Mormans. Some Jews. Some Muslims. (None of them throwing bombs, btw.) A whole slew of various levels of Pagans (Wiccans, New agers, etc...) Plus my fair share of Athiests and Agnostics. Toss in a few UUers to fill in the gaps, too.
One "Christian."
They are NOT "the entire universe." They are a minority. Particularly when viewed as a percent of the worlds population.
Now, wonder, how it is, with the so-called "liberal, Hollywood, jew loving media" that you are being pummeled with pro-christian cr*p all day long?

because Christian programming and advertising is taking over TV and radio, do some scanning.
I'm not too sure if they are the minority, to be honest, they are the majority. Listen carefully to the radio and watch carefully to the TV.

8. Media Universe, ok, that I'll grant you. |
|
Clear Channel, et all... The MSM is going fundamental.
But don't mistake controlling the media as actually BEING the majority. It just means they have a bigger megaphone.
Don't live in your email. Look at the people around you, not in your TV. In your face Christians are a minority. And in fact, many other Christians are embarassed by the radicals, as they see how far astray these people have gone.
In fact, its quite similar to how many muslims feel about their own radicals.

10. I know at least 30 of the type you know one of... |
|
not that I think they are a majority in the world's pop., but they are there. A bunch of them show up at my family functions! I get the jesus talk about once every few months or so, there are several hundred people praying for my salvation according to my relatives (church prayer group). I am the lone heathen in my family. I think this perspective is very pervasive in American 'culture', if you can call it that.

I don't normally watch TV but I've noticed that about a third of channels carried by my parents' cable company are religious. Which is fine, I guess, but I just wish they'd all get raptured and leave the rest of us to get on with our lives.

on campus. Anti abortion crap as well. Campus Crusade for Christ :puke: Crusade is the key word.
I go to a pretty liberal school. The conservatives whine an awful lot though about how they're oppressed by the liberals. And they claim that liberals whine.
I remember a Michael Kinsey article that said, "Don't assert the prerogatives of victory and then claim the compensations of defeat as well. You can't oppress us and simultaneously complain that we are oppressing you."
It applies especially for campus nutjobs.
