Your least favorite musical (stage and/or movie)
After a local performance last night, I would have to say "Carousel." Which seems to have almost no admirable characters and which has pointless and interminable dance sequences and only two or three good songs.

4. bye bye birdie
pure americana.

teen age love, rock 'n roll. momism, shriners, the music biz, ruskies, methamphetamines, and ed sullivan.

and a song about respect, what more does a person want?

well, maybe a 21 year old ann-margret for starters.

but i think the best ever made for film was singing in the rain. and next, west side story.

i've seen BBB and WSS on stage, and the energy of each was phenonenal. the dancing was great.
