My son's feet hurt. New shoes, lots of walking. Help ! |

Being the bad daddy I am, my poor son did a lot of walking with me today, to the White House and Washington Monument and Hard Rock Cafe for din-din. We mostly use the Metro. Anyone know of 1) a nice comfy walking shoe for him and 2) nearest shoe store to Connecticut Avenue NW ? Thanks a bunch.

1. Have lil dude wear TWO pairs of thin socks, nylon is FINE. It makes ALL |

the difference in the world.
Also, if you can find some Dr. Scholls, that'd be good.
But the sock thing is the best trick ever. Can't explain it, but it's worked for me and everyone I've ever recommended it to, and I have "princess and the pea" feet.
It doesn't matter if they're thin or thick, or both thin, or both thick, or one thin and one thick. It WORKS.

I am so very pleased to see your post tonight! You took your laptop! I am sorry that your son's feet hurt...Hopefully the suggestion in the other post will help. I have no idea, myself. Perhaps, if he has blisters (oh I hope NOT), you can use band-aids to cover them. I hope he doesn't have those, though. Did you two have a good time? It is such a beautiful city. The Metro is very good. I'm so glad I don't have to wait till Tuesday to hear from you...(Next time, take old, well-broken shoes. But you already figured that out!)
