11. do NOT take Aleve - linked to stroke and heart problems |
|
On December 20, 2004 the FDA announced that the National Institutes of Health was immediately halting a study involving Naproxen, commonly used in the brand name over-the-counter pain medication Aleve. The Study revealed that Aleve, Naproxen, and other similar non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs increased the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
Find another pill..

12. Back in Nov a friend wound up on dialysis from taking Aleve |
|

in conjunction with heart medications. He had a sore foot and took it and next thing he knew he was in kidney failure. Thankfully he is now off dialysis but that stuff almost killed him.

16. Thanks. I'll take Aleve. |
|
Hmm... nearly unbearable pain now, OR, take the only thing left to me after the FDA fucked up early and now had to take away Vioxx (which worked great), get about half the relief Vioxx gave me, and potentially suffer a slightly increased risk of heart attack & stroke... hmm.
Sorry Phoebe. No offense intended -- and I know I sound like an asshole; so be it -- but I'll take the Aleve.
Truly. No offense intended. :hi:

20. Oh, where do I begin? |
|
I'll start w/ the attorney (because it's always an attorney) who printed a HUGE document to the wrong printer (set to the wrong paper tray) then went to get his job & didn't find it there -- and apparently ignored the fact that it was now blocking the queue for 8 (yes, 8) users behind him . . . who then printed it to the only photocopier on the floor because "it's a lot faster, and besides it punches holes for you" when he could take the damned thing to the copy center and have it drilled . . .
