I really missed my son this morning
After being with him non-stop for 4 days, you really get in touch with what you are missing the other 20 something days of the month when you don't see him. Usually I can "block" that feeling out, but this morning it was too strong. When he hugged me so tight when I left him yesterday, that was worth a million bucks to me.

1. I'm so sorry... I can't imagine how that feels...
but I can imagine that it must be very difficult for you... damn.

2. On very infrequent occasions it is. Usually I can block it out.
Otherwise, I'd be 6 feet under by now.

3. Can you call him up and talk to him?
Maybe that could help to fill the void..... don't know. Hope you start feeling better.

7. Yes I always can. He's not a big phone talker and I'm really
ok. I know I "have him" forever and he loves me like I love him. When he was moved out to CO without my permission, then I was going nuts.

9. Yes, you do have him forever. How old is he?
Glad you're ok.

10. he's 9. He may come to live with me when he's 12 or 13.
I just hope and pray he's something like he is now, when he is a overly hormonal teenager.

4. Nothing feels better than a tight hug from
your kid and nothing feels worse than missing them. Sorry. I'll bet he is missing you too right now. from a mom to a dad

5. I would go crazy
If I had to say goodbye to my 10-year-old like that. Sometimes I take it for granted.

Sorry to hear about it Steve

11. must be tough. When I go two days without seeing my boys
(5 & 10), when they're at their mom's, I start to miss them acutely. Man, 20 days without them would be rough, indeed.... Hang in there, amigo...

21. You really have all my sympathies!
Having your son do so much of his growing away from you has got to be so difficult. I'm glad you can handle it most of the time. Whenever I feel hurt about something, I try to remind myself that I feel the pain because I'm alive...Maybe that can help you, too...

22. Sorry!
I can't imagine being apart from my son. I would be lost. There is nothing like a hug from your kid, somehow it even neutralizes the aggravation of dealing with a teenager.
