I am laughing at all your posts!!! (Maybe it's leftover from my good news yesterday, but still...)

I remember cathing a male patient long ago; he didn't want me to, but in the end (NO pun intended, really) he required it. It went well, and afterwards I asked him if I'd hurt him. He said no, it was OK. He hadn't felt anything, due to some spinal nerve compression. If you ever need one, try not to worry. It's a simple procedure, and the cath is left in for a minimal amt. of time.
