The West Wing is unreality TV |
|
OK I know its nothing more than a liberal fantasy show, but last night was just too much...
Castro? Give me a break.
Adorable mystery blonde head of the NSC? Give me a break.
I can't remember the show mentioning any "real" presidents later than JFK. There have been "real" issues, but the show steers further and furthur away from them. And maybe that's a good thing.
The White House needs an exterminator? They should invent a Delay!

1. Every week I watch that show, |
|
and every week I want to believe that it's really a great show.
It jumped the shark. Every week, I find myself doing something else by 9:25, and that just breaks my heart.
I read yesterday, though, that the show's been renewed for another year. One can only hope ....................

3. The show has a fantastic amazing cast |
|
They should do less with the inventive story lines, and more with the characters they've developed.

2. Fantasy, yes. But also stuck in time |
|
They are mostly rehashing the glory years of the Clinton Administration.
Meanwhile, in the real world, the Roves, Wolfowitzes, Bushes, etc. are dismantling our democracy. All the while, we watch TV.
