How Many Times A Year Do You Get A Haircut? |
|
Edited on Fri Mar-18-05 01:48 PM by Magic Rat
I'm just about the head off to get a haircut. I've figured out that I usually go about four times a year - once every three months.
My hair is fairly thick and takes a while to grow in.
Plus, I'm lazy.
So four. Or three if its a slow year.
Five if I want to be wild!
You?

Depends on how scraggly the ends get. If they're still intact, I put it off as long as possible.

9. I go when I can afford it. |

The people who cut hair around here (Southern CA)all think they are catering to millionaires. Last month I took my daughter to have an inch removed from her long hair. I also got a trim and a color touch up at the roots. Total tab : $149.00 - not including tip.

$7.00 +tip at Paul's Barber Shop. And you get to cuss and discuss politicians and basketball all you want.
The local womenfolks have voluntarily made Paul's a men only establishment. We get to smoke, tell dirty jokes, get a shoeshine, and all that other manly stuff away from our wives.
Salons are for women, children, and girlie men. From 4 on up, guys need a real, old fashioned barber shop. (So my wife told me.)
Did I tell you about that catfish I caught last week?

Out here in CA the local barbershop has gone the way of the Edsel. My 82 year old mostly bald father goes to Fantastic Sams for the $15.00 basic cut. If you have hair, forget it. The salons will scalp you. (And I'm not talking fancy locations and big rent either. The place that charged me the $149.00 is in a strip mall wedged between a convenience store and a storefront church in a modest neighborhood.)

If my hair gets long it gets too poofy and showers take longer and I'd actually have to comb it too.

My hair is a pain. It won't stop growing! It's actually because of the thickness. My hair is never long...it just gets poofy.

A fair few, but I wait until the hair keeps falling into my eyes and irritating me. I have thick hair, and it grows quickly, but I love to play with it and run my hands through it.
Actually had mine done yesterday, so I'm still in shock at how little shampoo and conditioner I need in the shower.
