9. You know on second thought, that post was totally off-base...

...what I meant to say was, pull out the feeding tube and let her die naturally in a week or two, as she would have anyway had we not had the technology to keep her artificially alive past the point of all hope, unless the judge says put it back in!

The whole deal is stupid. She had a living will, it is pretty darned clear she did not want to be kept alive artificially, and docs make these kinds of life-and-death decisions routinely every single day. That's how vital organs get donated, folks. Every day. It should be a private matter, not public, and she is an adult, so her parents should not hold sway over the decision.

But then the religious right got ahold of it....sigh....
