Poll question: Favorite anti-establishment films |
|
Here's a poll that checks to see which anti-establishment movie you like. The movies that is about certain forms of rebellion. There are so many but I did manage to put down a few titles. You can put down your own titles from the other catalgory and it can be comedy, drama, documentary. Anything goes!

5. You're gonna get me started on John Hughes! |
|
Seriously, am I the only one who hated "Ferris Bueller"? It was a non-comformist movie for conformists. The character of Ferris Bueller is absolutely hateable.
I think John Hughes is the antichrist. He has made his hard-right slant evident in many of his movies, plus at this point he wouldn't know an original idea if it bit him in the ass.
Rant over, please enjoy the rest of your day! :-)

with Will Smith, Gene Hackman and John Voight. Scary shit: Bruckheimer must've had the BFEE in mind when he made that film.
I have also began watching "Star Wars" again (ep.4). I wonder who would be Emperor, Vader, etc. when it comes to the BFEE. Hmmm.

Btw, "Z" wasn't antiestablishment as much as an anti fascist political thriller. It remains my favorite foreign film.

Which is why I included it. It speaks out against oppression. I could almost mirror it to what is happening here in this country.

"Fourteen or Fight!" indeed! Although, to be fair, it did give us a great song in Max Frost & the Troopers' "Shape of Things to Come."

the utimate anti-establishment film. Kubrick asks you to sympathize with a brutal rapist over establishment control. By the end of the film you do just that. IMO it is by far the most daring anti-establishment film ever.
