Just saw Shall we Dance with Lopez and Gere and liked it. No substance, nothing but flat predictable characters, but those few dancing scenes, were worth it! I'd forgotten than some of the settings were filmed in my town of Winnipeg until my sis reminded me - will have to re rent it.
Lord of the Dance, Tap Dogs, old Kelly, Ginger, whatshisface movies. Scads more that I have missed, but there's something very special to me about this genre.

both beegees and travolta ? yah, sure. Even in that small scene in Pulp Fiction, the Trav had that move... that confident grace.

Those guys could rip the rug. There was something more honest and athletic, energetic, fun... what they did.
