How amny remember Texas Western beating Kentucky in '66. The game that changed college basketball. To this day Pat Riley said that was his hardest defeat. It was sweet

1. I was a senior in High School..in Kentucky. and I LOVED IT |
|
Adolph Rupp, the racist arrogant legendary coach at UK had said that UK would integrate its teams over his dead body.
UK was I think the last SEC team to integrate.
But I loved it when Texas Western (now known as UTEP) won that game.
I am not a fan of the Blue and White, never have been.
The only time I can even get remotely interested in a Div I championship for UK is if Kentucky Wesleyan has just won the Div II, and UK is still in the running. I can then think it could be OK if both championships were in the same state in the same year. Even then, I would prefer the Div I to be won by Louisville.

3. Since you are now in Texas, I suggest you concentrate on |

Texas basketball and let us Kentucky fans alone. If you don.t like UK, fine. Just don't gloat when we lose. In the first place we now have a black coach so your jeering remarks about Rupp are over the hill. Secondly UK has some very outstanding young men who work very hard every day to try to be a top team. With Tubby UK basketball is a team sport.
