We use this at work. Will be good to know. I can add something to my quarterly eval for noting this and trying to help everyone take precautions.

2. I kept getting stuff like that from a friend's ID....
but I never clicked the links. She said that she never sent them. Then she found out that her computer was slammed with viruses. Nothing ever got through to my computer, though. Norton stuffed them.

just set it up so that contacts from anyone not on your buddy list requires your approval.

Haven't for years, ever since the discovery of certain 'red programs' that can be used to set up a hot connect between your PC and theirs via an IM.

It's sad that you can't just meet people online now the way we did only several years ago. :(
