I recently found out in my genealogy searching that we had a guy who was a prof there for awhile around 1930 (it was listed as his profession in that year's census), and I'm very curious to find out about him.

I've tried contacting the archivist there, and so has my cousin who lives in L.A., but the guy does not return calls or requests for information. Cousin is a little leery about heading over there because of the neighborhood, and she has a pretty taxing job that makes it hard for her to get there on weekdays, when theoretically the archivist would be there.

At this point, I'm getting a little annoyed. If anyone here has access to old yearbooks in the library, or pictures of the guy, or any other information, I'd be glad to send you a check for copies or postage or whatever. The guy had at least one daughter who could still be alive, so I'm really eager to find out more. The archivist should be canned, since he's no help to anyone.

I recently did this at Sacramento City College with another cousin that I found, and their archivist was WONDERFUL. She sent me all sorts of goodies. Old yearbook photos, an article from the school newspaper when the guy retired...that type of stuff.
