No replies to posts during a debate. Good or Bad?

Been alot of religion debating going on around the other boards. Throughout the debates, when I post a reply to someone, I will usually either get no response, or get one reply, I will post a rubuttal, and then no reply.

I'm torn on whether I should be proud or insulted?

Proud that my points are strong enough that I get the last word in?
Even though I get no official... "yeah, your right." response?

Should I be insulted that I'm probably being ignored?

Should I be worried that I'm so out in left field I'm not worth talking to about it?

I just don't know!!!!

I was leaning that way at first, but started slipping the more it happened.

I keep going from being outraged at some particularly ignorant post to laughing my ass off at some other ones. and sometime...

I laugh the hardest at some of the posts that are just beyond ignorat. But those usually get deleted fast.

2. Bursting your bubble here, religion is not a debatable topic.

Try thinking of it like the " american elections " sure lots of people talk and appear to debate this or that issue concerning " american elections " but since in reality there have not been any real actual elections where the results of the vote totals place the person that the most people voted for in the white house it's not a debate.
An exercise in disonnance, maybe for some, but not a debate for anyone.

What's really odd is when you start feeling guilty for laughing at the
funny ones when you figure they probably really think what they are saying is true.

Yeah, I usually get that when I post a sarcastic comment in response, and then they get pissed cause I made fun of them...

do you find any of the usual labels useful to identify yourself to " them " or do you wish the term " belief/believe " strickened from the lexicon ?

I've stopped expecting replys...I usually post comments and ditch...I don't stick around long anywhere....sometime I read all through the replys...see which way the wind blows... some times I post what ever strikes me without reading through
