Sound a little strange since we're through a quarter of the year already? Yeah, I thought so too. I was on my way to class when a student and a professor were finishing up a conversation. The student wished the professor "Happy New Year" and the professor replied back, "Happy New Year to you too."
Is it the Chinese New Year? The Lunar New Year? What am I missing here?

The Professor might have been Iranian, I'm not sure. Is the Persian calendar different than the Islamic calendar?
