Fun things to put into smoothies |
|
So my partner makes me a smoothie just about every weekday morning. It usually has some combination of pineapple, Juicy Juice (no sugar, just fruit juice), strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, acai (a South American fruit with a lot of energy), cherries, raspberries, yogurt, honey, guarana and ginseng (it always has guarana and ginseng). The combinations are always tasty, BTW. What else would you guys recommend we try? Our fruit is either fresh or frozen with no sugar added, BTW.

1. Damn you, fruit smoothie!!!! |
|
Sorry, that's all I can think of now when I hear the words "fruit smoothie" - from an episode of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
Sounds delicious though, whatever the combo.

5. I juice fruits at night |
|
I recently found a place that sells cranberries by the bag and I love adding a handful of cranberries to my drinks. (Plus it's good for my bladder).
Also - Kiwis have become very cheap and I use them when Strawberries aren't in season since they taste similiar.
Last night I juiced pineapple, pear, kiwis, cranberries and green grapes. I usually add a little 7upPlus (no carbs and calcium) plus a big heaping spoon of Protein/Fiber powder
