Chicken Chasseur and Potato/Spinach Galette for supper... |
|
Edited on Wed Mar-30-05 05:38 PM by HereSince1628
Oh, this one looks like a winner...And its pretty cheap, being made from those unwanted thighs. My neighborhood store sold them to me for 88 cents a pound!
EASY TOO! It is essentially chicken in a dark sauce made from sauted leek, mushrooms, crushed tomato, wine and a bit of flour.
And since it's a Pepin recipe it is, but of course, seasoned with salt, black pepper and garlic.
Thank you Jaques Pepin!

I used to watch his PBS cooking show every Saturday morning, especially the shows he did with his daughter (Claudine?). Is he still on TV?

2. His "Fast Food by Jaques Pepin" is showing on Wisc. Public TV |

I get a kick out of his cook book. There is a page for boiling corn with bits of red pepper, and another whole page for boiled green beans.

4. Yes but if you need a recipe for boiled green beans... |
|
I am not sure you have a chance with directions that call for herbs de provence.
I think his publisher was paying him by the recipe. :)
