So the loudmouth is telling everyone here I was let go |
|
They were going to keep it quiet while i looked for another job. But this guy just can't keep his mouth shut about anything. I feel like buying him the t-shirt that reads "I'm talking and I can't shut up!" Actually I feel like goiing over there and strangling him. Sheesh. What an asshole.

1. Since they're already letting go... |
|
...a simple, "Thanks a lot, asshole" is appropriate.

6. This guy talks constantly |
|
Anything that goes through his tiny brain is spoken out loud. A constant din around here. You can hear him saying stuff like" Hmmm...looks like the toner is low on this copier. I should probably replace it. Gee, there's hardly any coffee left. Maybe I should make another pot." It's constant.

3. There's someone like that in every office |
|
I swear the people at my last job used to know more about my life than I did.

4. That sux, but don't focus on it...focus on YOUR FUTURE, not him! |
|
It sounds like the place is exactly the kind of place you would WANT to be let go from...and there would be nothing better than to find a new job with substantial RAISE, so you could tell him that when you DO leave. THAT'LL SHUT HIM UP!
Use his bullshit to motivate yourself to excel. (It has worked many times for me!)
BEST OF LUCK!

5. Perhaps running your keys down the side of his car will help. |

7. Is he your immediate supervisor |
|
Is he your supervisor in any capacity? If not, I would inform the people in charge, the ones who told you that they were going to keep it quiet while you looked for another job, that he is blabbing this to the other employees. Tell them that you are considering speaking to an attorney about whether your employment rights have been violated by his behavior. And don't forget to document, document document.
At the least, you might get the asshole into some trouble. ;-)

10. No. He's just another worker slug |
|
But I was thinking about telling my bosses about it. But the cat's out of the bag, around here anyway.

Get him in trouble. You owe it to him. }(
