I'm watching Tru Calling on Fox and the female lead keeps referring to the DSM-III. The DSM, if I'm not misunderinformed is now the DSM-IV, with a DSM-IIIR in between.
Why would they do that? Is it because they just read a brief description of one of the personality disorders? Is it a copyright issue or what? It snot like the DSM-III is in public Domain.

2. That's probably more for the screen writer types. |

Sounds like bad editing and continuity to me, but what do I know about making TV shows? Law & Order and CSI both quote from the DSM-IV on occasion.
What is this show? And should I be worried that you're watching FOX?

I never watch Fox news, but I confess to watching some Fox programming - mainly Simpsons, and the other Sunday Night fare and House - think that is on Fox..
