Poll question: Divorced DUers... a question?
Tell me, when you were just divorced (or just before it was final), did you feel entirely relieved perhaps, but at the same time, utterly (in the words of jswordy) wacky?

2. It was a HUGE relief!!
But there were circumstances that made it an unsafe environment, so it was a good move all around.

3. I was extremely depressed
As much as I wanted rid of that thing that I had married, I was very depressed still, and very lonely. Goes with the territory.

4. When I got divorced from the 1st Mrs bearfan it literally
rocked me to the very edge of existence. I didn't marry again for 12 years. I'm okay now, but it took me a long time to trust women again.

5. I was 30 and felt like a complete loser...
Relieved that it was over, but felt wacky, yes...

So I started dating a 20 yr old hippie girl.

6. I went from the courtroom to the place I worked,
called my staff into my office, and told them:

"Free at last, free at last, thank God almighty, I'm free at last! Drinks are on me at 5:30."

It was like being let out of jail.
