certainly before he denounced Schiavo's death.

How do you denounce a death anyway? Maybe the actions that lead to it, but seems that denouncing death itself is rather pointless...

5. Wait a minute...
It's been a while since I took Catholic Social Teaching, but I thought the Catholic position was that it was okay to choose to not use life support. Why, exactly, are they denouncing this?

6. Beats me.
I'm a Catholic and my understanding was that one wasn't obligated to accept extraordinary means in order to sustain life.
