Have you started your spring cleaning? |
|
We're starting this weekend, with the kitchen and dining room (both small rooms).
I always get a big kick out of my son trying to take short-cuts. He'll ask, "are we washing this?" and of course my reply is always, "Is it in the room?"
You'd think after all these years he'd learn that spring cleaning means that EVERYTHING gets washed.

I have done some, will do more this weekend. I didn't think anyone did that anymore. Time to throw open the windows and let the winter stink out and scrub every surface in the house until it screams.

So we'll keep the windows closed, but maybe when we do the living room next weekend, we'll be able to open them up.

"Is it in the room?" ... I'll have to remember that one. :D
I gave the house a good cleaning last night - but I need to do the windows, wash the curtains, scrub the floors ... etc. This is my first year in an actual house on my own, so I'm a bit overwhelmed with everything there is to clean. I'm used to a tiny apartment. :)

8. yes a good weekend for it |
|
--pulling out the piles of junk in the garage, the coat closet, washing floors and rugs and dog. Take flannel sheets off and put away. Everybody has to help, even visitors--like couch potato grandaddy who would prefer to slide. If they do enough work they get to watch basketball or videos of choice. Making a big pot of "reward" food (spagetti) today. That's how we do it--white tornado once a year, in spring. Create a party atmosphere.
Turn clocks forward this weekend.

10. Yes, about three weeks ago. |
|
I'm pretty much done except for some things to go through in the office, and washing the outsides of the windows.
Tomorrow...we plant the annuals in the flower beds.

11. No, but I've encouraged my husband . . . |
|
to get started on anything that's really, really bothering him. Hey, our cat sheds until sometime in early June. Why jump the gun?
