2. I thought he accidently shot himself hunting in the UP of Michigan
but continued his career anyway as a surviving brain-damaged corporate rockstar? He's gone now huh?
Joined Courtney Love in that great gig in the sky.
What a shame.

3. Here's how Ted avoided the draft...
"He claims that 30 days before his draft board physical, he stopped all forms of personal hygiene. The last 10 days, he ingested nothing but Vienna sausages and Pepsi; and a week before his physical, he stopped using bathrooms altogether, virtually living inside pants caked with his own excrement, stained by his urine. That spectacle won Nugent a deferment, he says. ‘... but if I would have gone over there, I'd have been killed, or I'd have killed, or I'd killed all the hippies in the foxholes...I would have killed everybody.’” -- Detroit Free Press Magazine, July 15, 1990"

7. yeah they would
Ted was behind the bear baiting legislation that allowed hunters to "bait" for black bears ..I think it was overruled...nonetheless, he doesnt like an equal playing field when it comes to hunting..
chickenshit, he is a chickenshit.

9. Oh, so *that* is the story. Why, just today (4/1/05), a LTTE
appeared in the Raleigh News-Observer defending Ted Nugent's statements regarding the war.

(excerpt)
At the height of the Vietnam War, while a guitarist for the Amboy Dukes, young Ted received his draft notice. He could have gone to Canada, protested the military or burned his draft card. Instead he reported for induction as directed. In an ironic twist, the anti-drug avid outdoorsman and expert marksman was rejected by the Army, which didn't want the "dirty long-haired mangy hippie" in Their Man's Army.

Ironic twist? Me thinks not. Thanks for the details. :hi:
