When I finally get off work in the evenings, I'll have one more hour of daylight to garden, bike, or go for a walk.
I like it.
Plus, we get the hour back in October!

I love it. More biking, swimming, walking, talking to neighbors late into the night, drinking beer on the front porch with warm summer breezes......
On edit: Oh, and did I mention disc golf!!!!!!

9. I don't know why we do this in Nevada...like we need more sunlight! |
|
Arizona has it right - they stick with standard time year round. Why add an hour of sunlight to a 116º July day? You think that we'd want it to get dark earlier to save a bit on the AC, but NO! Vegas has to cater to the tourists.

|
Back to the topic, that really doesn't make any sense for Nevada...unless we're talkin' Vegas. Does Vegas like control the whole state?

11. Yep, Vegas controls most of the state. The $ is here. |
|
And with all the neon, you'd think that they'd want it to get dark earlier!
BTW - we're on Pacific Time here to match LA whereas Idaho (directly north) is on Mountain time. Interesting, no?

14. You want to talk about Daylight Savings Time?? |
|
I can't for the life of me figure out why Alaska has daylight savings time. We have 20 hours of friggin' daylight already in the summertime. I don't really think we need to save any.

This discussion arises every year up here about this time. You know, if you wait to go to bed until it's dark, it's already midnight, and then by 3 a.m. the sun's beaming in the window waking you up again. We're all majorly sleep-deprived up here through June and July.

Sounds good though doesn't it? Actually its energy conservation, used mostly during wartime, Germany first adopted it in WWI. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time
