1. William Hung, your path is now clear
You must bestow nine CDs of your limitless talent upon the world. You must not let Wing steal your thunder.

2. LOL!
Truth to tell, though, I'd rather sit through a day of WING or HUNG than 30 seconds of that whore Mariah Carey, or Beyonce, or Brittney, or Celine, or In'Stink, or any other shitfucking talentless nothings.

At least WING and HUNG don't have their voices digitally processed to be in tune, and don't take 32 cuts of a song and have the engineers take individual notes from each one and string together a line and then, in concert, sing to the tape.

4. I'll drink to that!
I still can't believe that Britney makes so much cash that she spends $140 on a steak for her dog while innovative bands like Keane and Old 97s sometimes have to scrape by. It ain't fair, I tell ya.

5. South Park
They dedicated a whole episode to her. It was hella cool. Also featured a machine-gun battle. Cartman kicks ass.

I wish I had seen it.

I've known about her for a few years thanks to someone on DU posting about her ages ago.

9. I have known her for several years
I came across Wing a while ago. My mother had one of her CDs and used to put it on to freak out her cat. It was hilarious. It really scares cats!

7. Oh. My. God.
You must check out the snippet from Dancing Queen.

Any chance we can talk Wing into covering some Ramones tunes??

11. I think I got part of this Wing craze figured out
Obviously, not everyone's a fan of her particular singing technique, but there's a certain sincerity and joy in her voice that makes some of her performances downright infectious. Including Dancing Queen. It's an emotion that you'll be hard-pressed to find in the mass-produced pap of the American and British bubblegum pop mills.

The fact that Wing left her native Hong Kong for New Zealand before China assumed control may also help her unusual appeal.
