6. In fact, I'd submit that there are more outdoor humans that suck ass
than there are outdoor cats that suck ass.

These humans are more of a hazard to pretty much everything than a cat could ever dream of being.

I'll agree with ya. Right now, it's just the cats. :P

17. Well, their air pollution and water pollution will kill your plants off
pretty quickly without the need to resort to urination. :)

I used to live on a cattle ranch.
We had four cats that NEVER came in the house.
I doubt very seriously that they were ever in your yard.

5. I think rural areas are the exception in this particular flame war.

I live in the city. Here, it's a HUGE problem.

12. ET I'm KIDDING!
While I do think that it's undeniably irresponsible for people to let their pets roam free to fall prey to whatever harm could befall them, I used to rescue the feral ones... the ones with owners are never a problem, not surprisingly.

7. You do have a point.
When we left the ranch, we couldn't bear to bring the cats to the suburban environment.

9. I don't know for sure, but...
as an outside and relatively disinterested observer of the earlier threads, I would tend to believe that this thread is nothing more than a purposeful cruelty being thrown at some that obviously have strong attachments to felines.

I'm glad i don't know you...not because of your feelings for or against cats, but because of your lack of feelings about others.

11. It's a JOKE!
I have five cats of my own, and formerly rescued the ingrateful things!

(And if your outrage was sarcasm, you so got me.)

I never saw a cat who would kiss or suck anyone's ass. :sarcasm:

19. My solution:

No sprayin', no fightin', no bird killin', no FLV and FIV, AND she gets to see the entire neighborhood every day!

20. That's so considerate of you.
Nothing like the sound of cats tearing each other apart in the middle of the night to make you wonder how much the pet's owners really love them. If they're pets.

21. Not to mention all the other dangers
A stray I adopted years ago had FIV (feline AIDS) and skin cancer from his life as a feral., Plus there's sickos out there who will run down cats in the street ON PURPOSE, or do other unspeakable things to them. Nope, people on farms need outdoor cats for environmentally sound rodent control, but the rest of us are better off keeping them indoors or on a leash!

23. Oh I know...
those people who hit cats on purpose... good God does that ever sicken and sadden me. :(

I hate driving to work and seeing the carnage they leave behind. I can't help thinking of how sad the cat's person / people will be... I just hope they aren't owned by children. If so, I can only hope they learn a valuable lesson.
