Anyone know how to convert encrypted WMA to MP3?
I've been purchasing encrypted WMA files from Napster, but I can't seem to convert them to MP3s to play in iTunes. :argh:

Frustrating.

..there may be a better way.

Burn the WMA to an Audio CD and then use a converter that will rip from the CD back to mp3 format on your hard drive.

2. Easiest way: Burn them to a CD (even a virtual one), then rip them from

there.

If you don't want to use a bunch of cd's, get Alcohol 120%, CloneCd, or Daemon tools to make a "virtual drive."

Create a CD image in Alcohol 120%, Nero or some other program. Then mount the image using one of the programs above. Then take any music program (like Musicmatch Jukebox) and rip the cd, which will create MP3's. The music program (and the rest of your computer) will see the virtual drive like it's actaully another real cd drive.

(on edit) make sure the image is an "audio cd" image

3. Use Creative Labs wav studio. You can record anything being played on
your computer and convert it to MP3. This is not a fast process; it takes the length of each song since they are playing, but you get a nice clean MP3 afterwards.

4. Thank you both!
God, what a lot of hassle, but worth it for the tunes in question.
