A Firefox tech question..... |
|
I recently downloaded Firefox.
When I try to post here, I type a response and when I click on 'post message' I get an alert box that says 'The document contains no data'. Anyone know why this is happening? And how to correct the problem?
I have asked this in ATA but Skinner didn't know why so I asked permission to post here and he gave me his consent.

Have you altered the options in any way from the "factory" settings?

3. hey, this has happened to me too |

i've noticed that it usually happens during busy times of the day when the server is really slow. try to see if it's there's any rhyme or reason to when it happens.

5. I don't know if there is any java in use on DU or not, but |
|
you might need to reinstall the java engine for use with Firefox, as it needs to be configured properly for each browser that it's running under.

10. Click the little book in the upper right hand corner |
|
It's just under the "X" to close window button. Then about half way down the page, it's under "common plug-ins"

then went to the java site to see if it works. Can't tell from that page if it did or not. I restarted the browser, but should I have restarted the system as well?
on edit......ooops...didn't finish the install. Duh!

If you needed to do that, it would've prompted you.
