I have a marketing question for anyone... |

I almost always round a price up in my head when buying something unless the price ends with $x.00. Do you think it really matters that something is priced at $x.95 or $x.99? Does it affect you?

I always look at a price and add on the tax in my head so it does not affect me, but.. it is such common practice that it must in most peoples minds.

That's why it works. That's also why they typically make the dollar amount a larger type size than the change.

That helps alot. I can see where i tmakes a difference on larger ticket items and on the digits preceding the decimal point.
