REALLY Funny (but very stupid) Warning Labels
Edited on Fri Apr-08-05 09:21 PM by Up2Late
(I can't say for sure that all of these are real, but sadly, I think most are)

Click link Warning Labels

Manufacturers of consumer products have to be liberal with the warning labels these days, lest they get sued. But for these, it's hard to know whether the company is being outright stupid or if they're simply targeting the most brain dead dumb among us.

here are a few:

"Do not attempt to stop the blade with your hand." -- In the manual for a Swedish chainsaw.

"Choking hazard: This toy is a small ball." -- On the label for a cheap rubber ball toy.

"Do not use for drying pets." -- In the manual for a microwave oven.

"Do not eat toner." -- On a toner cartridge for a laser printer.

It says, "Do not use for more than 10 days unless directed by a doctor under 18 years of age."

Howser...paging Doogie Howser...

Also: "Do not use if red neck"

I guess freepers cannot use this product.

4. That's funny, does anyone understand the concept of ...
...Proofreader?

here's one of my favorites:

"Warning: Riders of personal watercraft may suffer injury due to the forceful injection of water into body cavities either by falling into the water or while mounting the craft." -- In the manual for a jetski.

Power Enema!:hurts:

5. While mounting the craft? Just how tall are those things, to enable
"forceful injection" if you fall while mounting?

9. A friend of mine had a can of air freshener
It was citrus scented and it said on the warning label - "acts as lemon juice does when put in eyes."

Well, first of all, I wondered who the hell puts lemon juice in their eyes and for what and second of all, I wondered why they didn't say, "don't put it in your eyes, moran."

As an amusing addition to this story, my pal thought it would be a good idea to spray it into the fan so it would spread throughout the room - so he stood in front of the fan and sprayed. ~sigh~

And it was much like lemon juice in his eyes...

that these labels are made.

11. What you should do is, write a very angry letter to the company...
...telling them how they should have a Warning on the can that tell people not to spray into a fan if it's running. Then if you don't hear back (or even if you do) check a few months later and see if they added another warning to the can.:silly:

12. The sad thing is these things probably really happened
And that is why there are warning labels. They are not making it up.

13. the Arm & Hammer kitty litter box says "safe for use around pets"
which I guess is kind of the opposite of these, but it is still funny.

14. My God
For these to be warning labels, somebody was stupid enough to do it once, usually.

I feel bad for the person dumb enough to dry a pet in a microwave. Such good intentions...

Oh my...
