Good news and bad news at the ballgame tonight

Bad news:

First off, we had seats near the aisle, so we ended up having to get up a lot. Two people in our row each got up SIX times during the game. GRRRRRR For Pete's sake, I am keeping score, so when you get up, do the potty thing and bring back two beers at a time, so you do not disrupt your neighbors.

The Twins lost - they could not string together enough hits to get more than one run across.

During the 7th inning stretch, we were "treated" to a version of "God Bless America" whose length rivaled that of Ronan Tynen's version in Yankee Stadium. Not only that, but the singer got one of the words wrong, instead of "from the mountains, to the prairies", she sang' "from the mountains, to the valleys". We have not had to deal with the whole God Bless America thing, because the past few years we have been treated to the Lee Greenwood God Bless the USA thing.

Good news:

I got to eat at one of my favorite restaurants in DT Minneapolis. Yum.

It is still better to see a ballgame live, even if your team loses.

The Twins eschewed the playing of God Bless the USA - thank the gods.

My son and I worked on a sign before the game and had a good time designing it (he is 14 and usually wants NOTHING to do with me!)
