Props for my roomie please

We were at one of many pubs this evening. ANd I'm sitting there, watching baseball scores (ORIOLES ROCKEd NYY) and suddenly this girl appears before me and starts talking. The first thing I thought, honestly I'm sorry, was, "Who's this piece of garbage?" She was dressed like a total strumpet and had a way-to-big nose ring. I figured it was just some drunk girl waiting in line that was friendly, so I didn't snub her and was polite. A few minutes into our conversation, in which I kept trying to figure out why a girl like this was talking to me, my roomie barges in between us.
She whispers, "I heard this girl say to her friend, 'I'm gonna try to get free beer out of that guy,' so I'm just gonna stand her and talk to you until she goes away."
I laughed.
Then she says, "I wish I could fight." Which meant a lot to me because I would attempt to kick anyone's ass that messed with her, so it was a nice gesture.
So, props for my roomie!

I worked the morning shift. So I got off at noon... then I WASTED my entire afternoon off SLEEPING...UGH! I went to bed at 2:00 woke up at 5:30!
