I just downloaded "New Orleans Bump" by Wynton Marsalis (From Unforgivable Blackness: The Rise and Fall of Jack Johnson) from iTunes. I want more stuff like this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

2. Don't know if they have put him on CD yet, but look for Kenny Ball
Pretty traditional Dixieland stuff, done by a Brit. His version of American Patrol is grand. I muted the TV and played Kenny Ball & the Jazzmen when Kerry & his crew made their entrance via the river to the convention last summer. Opened the windows, cranked up the speakers and BLEW THIS TOWN AWAY! So much better than the CW that is all one hears around this town ;)

The Midnight in Moscow tract is fan-tas-tic too.

3. I think you have a couple of choices
Either some very early Louis Armstrong, or, King Oliver (who Armstrong played for in his early years).

You may also wish to check out Bix Beiderbecke. He wasn't from N.O., but has that same general sound.

Enjoy.
